QUALITY COMMITMENT

Since its establishment in 1965 with 10 employees, ASCO has grown to become a highly respected partner in the industrial arena, providing state-of-the-art products and developing solutions to meet the varied and changing needs of its customers. Today the company employs more than 75 people at its Brantford, Ontario headquarters and at facilities across the country. The dedication and collective skills of the ASCO team are key to the company’s continued success.

A commitment to quality and service is the underlying force in the design, manufacture and sale of every item within ASCO product lines: solenoid valves; pressure and temperature switches; pressure sensors; combustion products; fluid control products; and valve position indicators.

ASCO products are chosen by Canada’s most prominent original equipment manufacturers and are sold to companies and users of all types through an extensive network of independent distributors. Every customer can count on products that meet the highest standards for optimal performance and are backed by knowledgeable ASCO specialists.

ISO REGISTRATION
In 2003 ASCO was registered to International Standard ISO 9001:2008 and is proud to hold certificate number 000001 from the Quality Management Institute. This internationally recognized standard underscores the company’s emphasis on quality control procedures and its ultimate mandate of delivering superior products to an increasingly more sophisticated marketplace.

ASCO RED HAT VALVES

ASCO reputation was built on its status as Canada’s only manufacturer of solenoid operated valves and the Red Hat line remains a worldwide industry standard.

ASCO engineers have designed and developed the most comprehensive selections of solenoid operated valves available in the world. The company’s Red Hat valve catalogue lists 2, 3 and 4-way valves that are available in brass, stainless steel, aluminum and plastic with pipe sizes ranging from 1/8” to 3” along with thousands of special variety valves. And, if this still isn’t enough, ASCO engineers can custom design a product to a user’s exact and unique specifications.

ASCO maintains leadership position by developing and producing new products to address the ever changing needs of the industry. Examples include intrinsically safe valves for operation at low power levels, low ambient construction valves for use in ambient temperatures down to -50ºC, pulse and pilot valves for dust collector units and angle body piston valves for handling aggressive fluids. ASCO has the solutions for today’s requirements and the expertise to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

ASCO COMBUSTION PRODUCTS

ASCO Combustion products include a selection of high quality valves and special products for the combustion industry. Gas, oil, hot water and steam valves come in pipe sizes ranging from 1/8”, such as those used for commercial pilot applications, to a maximum of 6”, for use in large commercial/industrial boilers and process heating applications.

The product line has earned a reputation for superior quality and ASCO is well on its way to becoming the number one supplier of control products for gas and oil-fired systems of all sizes.

ASCO VALVE POSITION INDICATORS

ASCO Valve Position Indicators have revolutionized the concept of position indication by combining the technology of visual indication and networks communications.

ASCO position indicators work as a cost-effective solution for control and information in a variety of environments. Communication protocols are available with DeviceNet™, ASi™ and Profibus™ PA.

ASCO position indicators have been engineered for improved reliability and safety, while meeting the rugged requirements of the process industry. Linear Position Indicators are available in aluminum body bracket mounted, resin body bracket mounted or resin/aluminum body bracket mounted with integrated valve. HS2, HS3 & HS4 Series position indicators provide highly visible 360º indication.

Reed Switches provide improved set point accuracy and simplified maintenance.

ASCO REDHAT NEXT GENERATION VALVES

The RedHat Next Generation revolutionary new power management technology sets new industry standards for reliability and power consumption. These valves are now available with Class 1 Division 2 approvals. The new line of solenoid valves accepts both AC and DC voltages while improving performance. These 2-, 3- and 4-way solenoid valves are designed to handle most fluid control applications.

  • Increase in DC pressure ratings to AC levels on all products (up to 500% improvement)
  • Lower power operation (2-watt solenoid delivers the same performance as a traditional 17-watt AC solenoid)
  • Voltage ranging provides standard solutions to special voltage requirements, such as global usage, voltage fluctuations, and specialty applications like locomotives
  • Built in surge suppression eliminates the need for a separate surge suppression diode
  • Elimination of AC hum

  • ASCO PRESSURE SENSORS

ASCO pressure sensors provide accurate measuring and linear electrical output signals for many process fluids. The MEMs based sensor and one-piece pressure cavity provides stable output measurements from 0 to 10,000 psi and supplies high sensitivity, low drift and highly repeatable signaling. Electrical options include flying leads, pins, spade terminals, or explosion-proof or intrinsically safe versions. Mechanical options include panel mounting, 316ss pressure vessel or inconel with process connections of 1/8” to ½” NPT, and other specialty threading. Output signal options include 4-20m Amp or 1-5 Volt.

ASCO TRIPOINT PRESSURE & TEMPERATURE SWITCHES

ASCO Tripoint pressure and temperature switches are a range of miniature to industrial size switches designed to signal when process media reaches a set point of pressure or temperature. The transducer will operate a mechanical snap switch when the set point has been reached, and will reset when the process media conditions drop below the deadband. Options include fixed or adjustable deadband and a wide range of set points of vacuum to 8000 psi and temperatures of -51ºC to 337ºC.

    ASCO JOUCOMATIC PNEUMATIC CONTROLS

ASCO Joucomatic pneumatic controls include a diverse range of pneumatic products for various fluid power industrial automation applications.

  • Directional Control Valves – Miniature, ISO standard, and subbased mounted spool and poppet valves
  • Proportional Control Valves – Sentronic proportional pressure regulation by voltage or resistance input variation
  • Air Preparation Equipment – Modular filter, regulator and lubricators are easy to configure as individual components or a complete system
  • Valve Islands – Multiple valves in one compact assembly in standard operating configurations or addressable over a bus network. Available with ASi™, DeviceNet™, and Profibus™ DP
  • Cylinders – ISO and VDMA standard rod and rodless cylinders

  • ASCO REDUNDANT CONTROL SYSTEM

The Redundant Control System (RCS) is the only pilot valve system that has no single point of failure that could result in an unwanted closure of the process valve. The Redundant Control System is FM certified as fit for use in SIL 3 applications with a spurious trip rate that is lower then Tri-Modular Redundant logic solvers. RCS achieves a higher level of process safety and reliability by using a redundant, fault tolerant architecture, high diagnostic coverage and automated testing. A keyed bypass allows on-line maintenance of the RCS without process interruption. The RCS is available in a variety of constructions that provide valve diagnostics through automated, partial stroke testing

The availability and reliability of RCS make it the most cost effective choice for process valve diagnostics and actuation
